Will was born and raised in Colorado, and is now serving as the Pastor of All Souls Church of Boulder. Will graduated from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI. He has worked in youth ministry, missions, and church planting, but is excited to now call Boulder home. In his free time, Will can be found fishing, reading Russian literature, biking, or drinking a good IPA. He is married to Lauren; they have been greatly blessed with their son, Liam, and daughter, Ellie.
Director of Children and Family Ministry
Rachel joined All Souls as the Director of Children and Family Ministry in 2014. She was born and raised in Michigan and after living multiple places around the country, she is happy to call Boulder home. Having worked as an elementary school teacher, personal trainer and stay-at-home mom, Rachel believes that Family Ministry is a vital part of a church community. She feels passionate that children are a key part of the church and have so much to teach us about the love of Christ. She also feels passionate that parents are supported as they strive to live out their faith in their home and in the world. In her spare time Rachel enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening, cooking and camping with her husband, Reuben, and three kids, Kaatje, Brody and Ian.
Adam is a pacific northwesterner at heart but has been enjoying the fruits of Colorado since 2010. He joined the All Souls staff in 2012 and became one of our pastors in 2017. He gets excited about fly fishing, skiing, a nice tequila and a quiet afternoon with a book of poetry. Adam and his wife, Emily, live in Lafayette with their two kids, Maya and Matias.
DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION
Leah joined the staff in 2016 after being part of the community at All Souls for nearly a decade. She enjoys reigning in the vision filled minds of those around her in the office and producing action plans to achieve those visions. Leah gets excited about ultra running and finding the next race to run. She is passionate about all things vegetables: farming, cooking, and sitting around a table with friends and family to enjoy a meal. Leah lives in Boulder with her husband Kunlong and two sons, Greyson and Levi.
The Deacons of All Souls work to support the needs within our church community, our city, and international missionaries. They oversee the All Souls hospitality ministry, pray for individuals, connect with visitors, help understand the needs of our city, and advocate for those in need within and outside All Souls community. Emily has been a part of the All Souls community for three years and has a passion to love others as deeply and authentically as possible. She was raised in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University before moving to Estes Park, Colorado to pursue her job as a high school special education teacher and her unshakable love for adventure & the wilderness. In her spare time, Emily can be found enjoying literature that expands the mind, music that soothes the soul, coffee that warms the spirit, and mountains & national parks that free the heart.
Kyle Gach moved to Boulder in 2015, and began attending All Souls shortly thereafter. An engineer by background, and a designer at heart, Kyle appreciates just about anything exhibiting craft and care, including the web, a good read, films, bicycles, cocktails, and mountains. He is eager to see the church continue to grow with its community, and cherishes his wife, Katie, and daughter, Lucy.
Susan Grant grew up in Michigan and Colorado as a good Southern Baptist girl. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University, then stayed in the Bible Belt to earn her Masters, teach, and work before returning home to Colorado. Susan took a break from church for several years before finding a church home at All Souls in the fall of 2017. She is grateful for the love she’s experienced in the All Souls community and hopes to extend the reach of that love to others. She lives in Arvada with her partner, Deb, and two Blue Heeler mixes, Rusty and Cody. She loves game nights, music, camping, deep 1 on 1 conversations, and hosting parties.
Brad Moores has been living in Boulder and attending All Souls with his wife Laken since September 2015. Brad works as a researcher in the CU Boulder physics department, and in his spare time he enjoys running, traveling, and brewing beer.
Chelsea Hahn was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and lived in Alabama and New York before moving to Boulder in 2017. She currently works at the Museum of Boulder. When not at the museum, Chelsea is probably writing or reading fiction, listening to a podcast, or trying new recipes with her husband Sam.
Stephanie Pease hails from Rhode Island and landed in Boulder in the fall of 2000 to begin graduate studies in Organic Chemistry. After earning her Master's degree, she spent the next 15 years as a stay-at-home parent and "professional volunteer". She will be starting another graduate program fall of 2019, this time in Environmental Public Health. She treasures her husband Timothy, two boys Elliott and Josiah, cooking, reading, theology, knitting, and playing mobile AR games.
David Van Noord
David VanNoord grew up in western Michigan, met his wife Jill in college and moved to Atlanta before relocating to Boulder in 2005. David has spent several years at home with his twin boys and is now re-entering the career world as an art teacher. He loves camping with family, mountain biking, and attempting to catch fish.
Tina Peterson joined All Souls in 2018 with her spouse, Kevin, after moving from Michigan to Boulder. Tina loves to hike, backpack, kayak, and play ultimate frisbee and racket sports. She also loves to cook (and eat) and is passionate about sustainability. Tina's favorite thing about All Souls is that it is a safe and fruitful space to be curious and grow together.
Elders at All Souls work directly with the Staff to ensure All Souls is faithful to its values and vision. They also ensure that the financial management has integrity and that the budget is focused on the mission as expressed. Elders protect and promote the vision of All Souls, represent the interests of the congregation to the Lead Pastor, and serve as board members of the organization. Elders conduct membership interviews and participate in the pastoral care of our members.
Melissa Dykhuis grew up in Michigan and The Gambia, West Africa, before making her way to Colorado. Now she stays at home as a mom of two boys, Matthew and Jonathan, blending a life of science and art and writing and faith. She loves the Southwest, and Lafayette, and flat open spaces, and jogging through all of the above. She finds God in the hidden stories of Scripture, in the crucible of intimate community, in the work of God's Spirit in the church, and out under the cathedral of the open sky.
Jaylyn Gough is from the Navajo Tribe in New Mexico. She works as the founder and Executive Director of Native Women’s Wilderness. She loves the outdoors and is an avid mountain climber, hiker, mountain biker, climber, and a landscape photographer. You can always find her exploring the Wild with her camera in hand!
Sam was born on the border of Missouri and Iowa but spent his formative years deep in the heart of Texas. After finishing college in Alabama, he moved to Boulder with his wife Chelsea to pursue a PhD in Classics. Sam is fascinated by the texts of antiquity and the ancient rhythms of Christianity preserved through liturgy which connect our time with the past.
Micah is a father of two, husband of one. He lives in Longmont CO and works in the Fire Service. All Souls has been the family faith community for 9 years and will continue to be an important part of the family as life continues. The Holmes family enjoys traveling, boating, trying new restaurants, and getting to know friends when not at work. Micah hopes to give back to the church as it has given to his family.
Deb is a Colorado girl with layovers in California, Oregon, and Nebraska. She was raised in Colorado Springs by parents deeply engaged in the faith. Through college experience at Biola University and the following years of living away from home, her faith evolved and has been most recently enhanced by the community at All Souls Church. Deb has attended this church for a couple of years and loves the energy in the community. She is excited to be part of the leadership team and support the mission and life in the church. After a 30-year corporate career, Deb has more time to volunteer and to work on the property that she and Susan bought a few years back. Life always includes cooking and entertaining, playing and working outdoors, good card games, dogs, laughter, and new friends.
Pam joined All Souls in 2011 and has previously served as a deacon. She works for the University of Colorado on the medical campus as a certified nurse midwife and faculty member teaching Public Health. She has been married to Patrick for 36 years and has 2 amazing adult children, Hillary and Sean. She loves dangerous adventure both domestic and foreign as well as enjoying a great glass of wine by the fireplace.
Marissa grew up in Boulder and has been part of the All Souls community since 2009. Her professional background is in international development, fair trade and design. Currently, you can find her trying to keep up with her two young boys, doing African dance, painting murals or training for a triathlon. Marissa, her husband Jon and their two sons live in Lafayette, CO.
