Ostara: The Spring Equinox

Behold is a seasonal experience of intentionally curated space for cultivating one’s ability to behold. Behold God, Behold One’s Self, Behold Another.

Ostara, the pagan name for the Spring Equinox, was observed and celebrated by Celtic Christians as early as the 8th century and blended themes of renewal, fertility, and the triumph of light over darkness with Easter (named for the goddess Eostre/Ostara) and the Annunciation.The Spring Equinox is a time of profound significance, symbolising and representing a moment of celestial equilibrium. This pivotal moment, when day and night find perfect balance, heralds the rebirth of life and the awakening of the Earth from its Winter slumber. It marks a time of transition and transformation, both in the natural world and within the individual. As the Earth awakens in Spring, so too does the human spirit, stirring with the promise of new possibilities and opportunities for growth.
